Mental Health Support for Students

April 10, 2020

Counseling Service staff are offering telemental health (i.e., counseling) services via secure video platform to students physically located in Oregon. Staff are limited by the laws of some states in their ability to practice telemental health across state lines. As a result, some Counseling Service staff are able to provide services to students located in some states, while staff are prohibited from engaging in such telemental health practice with students living in other states. Staff in both the Counseling Service and the Office of Case Management are offering all students outside of Oregon with support in finding mental health support nearer to their homes.

Students needing mental health support– regardless of their physical location– are encouraged to contact the Counseling Service at 503-768-7160 or the Office of Case Management (503-768-7173) to discuss support options. Mental health educational resources and meditation support are also available through the Support in the time of COVID-19 webpage.
