Health and Counseling Summer Services Update
May 04, 2020
The medical clinic in the Health Service is now closed for the summer. It will re-open in late August. Exception: Health Service staff will be providing limited COVID-19-related medical consultation this summer to students living in LC residence halls. Details will be shared directly with students in residence this summer.
Anytime the Health Service is closed, enrolled students needing health care consultation may contact our nursing consultation service at 1-800-607-5501, or seek care off-campus. Students are encouraged to consult with their health insurance carrier before accessing care to be sure the provider they access is covered by their health insurance program. A list of urgent care clinics and hospitals is available at go.lclark.edu/portlandhealthcare. Students experiencing a medical crisis should call 911 and, if on campus, should also contact Campus Safety at 503-768-7777.
The Counseling Service will be closed the week of May 11. Beginning May 18, the Counseling Service will be open Monday through Thursday during the month of May with limited staffing. For June and July, the Counseling Service will be closed on Mondays, and open Tuesdays through Fridays. Assessment, referral, and limited counseling services will be available for summer school students by appointment. Until further notice, all services will be provided via telemental health. Call 503-768-7160 for more information or appointments. Students in crisis may access 24-hour help at any time via the Lewis & Clark Crisis Counseling Service at 503-265-7804 or the National Hopeline at 1-800-273-TALK.
