New Zoom Security Update
The latest Zoom 5.0 upgrade includes an important security upgrade that provides increased protection for meetings. This is a mandatory update that should be installed immediately, as it enables encryption for all Zoom sessions. End users will experience no visible changes to the way their Zoom accounts work.
According to the update announcement, “after May 30, 2020, all Zoom clients on older versions will be required to upgrade before joining meetings.” If you are not prompted to update automatically, you may either download the updated version from the Zoom website or click on your profile picture (or initials, if you have not added a profile picture) in the top-right corner from the Zoom application home screen and select “check for updates.”
