Sky Greig Named Interim Campus Safety Director

Steven “Sky” Greig has been named interim director of Campus Safety. Greig was named in the position after the retirement of John Harvey in December 2020.

Greig brings 17 years of service and experience at Lewis & Clark as a Campus Safety Officer, and has been in the field of public safety for 28 years.

“I am grateful to Sky for stepping up into this leadership role,” Vice President for Student Life Robin Holmes-Sullivan said. “His experience, longevity at the College, and collaborative style make him a perfect fit for our needs right now. I know he will do an excellent job.”

Greig was raised in Flint, Michigan, but has also lived in Detroit, Michigan, Kailua, Hawaii, and Bend, Oregon. He studied music technology and audio engineering at Capital University (Ohio), and graduated from the Western Association of Campus Law Enforcement Administrators Public Safety Academy. Greig is trained and certified in crisis intervention, incident command system, emergency medical response, hazmat response, crime prevention through environmental design, executive protection, fire prevention/suppression, mental health response, and first aid.

When not assisting in keeping campus safe, he enjoys music history, is an avid hockey fan, and loves the outdoors.

Greig will remain interim director of Campus Safety until a permanent replacement is appointed.
