Find Support: On-Campus OAAP Counseling Hours

Law school is challenging. It can also be demanding and stressful. Being intentional about your well-being is the key to success. The Oregon Attorney Assistance Program (OAAP) offers free, confidential, on campus office hours to all Lewis & Clark law students. Talk to an attorney counselor about law school or life stress and how to take care of yourself while going through school. All OAAP attorney counselors are both lawyers and trained counselors, so they know what you’re going through. They can help with concerns about balancing school and life, problems with substance use or other challenging behaviors (like gambling, or problematic use of food, the internet, or sex), anxiety, depression or other mental health issues, concerns about organization or procrastination, issues with relationships, or any other issue that is impacting your ability to perform at your best. Getting help working through these issues early will help you be healthier and more effective in law school and throughout your legal career.
OAAP attorney counselors will be on campus from 3-6 pm in Wood Hall Conference Room 220 on the following days during Spring 2019:

- March 19
- April 9
Please call the OAAP at (503) 226-1057 to schedule an appointment. Walk-ins are welcome, if time is available. Your contact with the OAAP is confidential – it is not discussed with, or disclosed to, the law school, any state bar, or any other person, agency, or organization without your consent. Contacts with OAAP are kept strictly confidential pursuant to ORS 9.568, PLF Policies 6.150 – 6.300, Oregon State Bar Bylaws Article 24, Oregon Rule of Professional Conduct 8.3(c)(3), and Judicial Code of Conduct for United States Judges Canon 3B(5). The only exceptions are: (1) to avert a serious, imminent threat to your health or safety or that of another person and (2) to comply with legal obligations such as ORS 419B.010 and ORS 124.060 (child abuse and elder abuse).
