COVID Vaccination Policy Now Applies to All Employee Groups

Earlier this summer, the College announced its new Employee COVID-19 Vaccination Policy. Although immediately effective for most employees, the policy was not made immediately effective for our represented employees, in order to give the College the opportunity to discuss the policy with our bargaining unit leaders.

Earlier this summer, the College announced its new Employee COVID-19 Vaccination Policy. Although immediately effective for most employees, the policy was not made immediately effective for our represented employees, in order to give the College the opportunity to discuss the policy with our bargaining unit leaders.

Those discussions have now taken place, and they were collaborative and productive conversations. The outcome is that the policy is now effective for all Lewis & Clark employee groups, including LCCSSA and Teamsters bargaining unit members.

Under the policy, proof of COVID-19 vaccination is required for employees working on the Lewis & Clark campus or in an off-campus Lewis & Clark facility. Employees are required to document vaccine dates and upload vaccination documents in the College’s confidential and secure Human Resources Workday system, or obtain an approved exemption. Step-by-step directions for uploading vaccination information are available on the HR webpage.

If you are fully vaccinated and have not yet uploaded your information to Workday, it is important that you do so immediately. Employees who have not done so will soon be subject to mandatory weekly on-campus COVID testing.

Employees may use work time in order to get vaccinated. COVID vaccines are readily available at pharmacies and other locations throughout the area. Information about vaccination sites is available from the Oregon Health Authority.
