The ‘Savviest’ Job Search

Beginning this fall, all Lewis & Clark undergraduates will have six months of free access to Savviest, a career management platform developed by Devin Owen BA ’14. Savviest provides users with artificial intelligence–based tools to help tailor resumes and cover letters to each job. It also enables users to get feedback on their resumes from counselors in L&C’s Career Center.

“Savviest is a great tool for helping job seekers learn to persuasively articulate their skills and experiences to future employers,” says Nina Olken, associate director of the Career Center. “I’m very excited to have this resource available to our students.”

Owen, who studied psychology and neuroscience at Lewis & Clark, graduated magna cum laude. He also participated in the college’s entrepreneurship program, where he learned just how “expansive, creative, and meaningful start-ups can be.” Owen appreciates the opportunity to give back to his alma mater.

“I have pictured working with L&C from day one in building Savviest,” says Owen. “I look forward to helping Lewis & Clark students build their dream careers just like I did.
