Critical information for GSEC students about coverage for spring 2022

Fall coverage for GSEC students enrolled in the student health insurance plan will end on December 31, 2021. Students must re-enroll if they want spring coverage. All GSEC students enrolled for spring courses may enroll in student health insurance coverage for the spring.

This is a reminder that the last day of coverage for GSEC students enrolled in the Fall 2021 Lewis & Clark student health insurance plan is December 31, 2021. Coverage does NOT automatically renew for students. If students want coverage for the spring, they MUST take action to enroll in that coverage.

All students enrolled in classes this spring–whether or not they enrolled in fall student health insurance coverage– may enroll in student health insurance coverage for the spring. If you are a GSEC student and wish to purchase student health insurance coverage for Spring Semester 2022, you must do so through the PacificSource Online Enrollment System. Open enrollment began on December 1. The deadline for GSEC students to purchase Spring Semester 2022 coverage is February 1, 2022. The premium for Spring 2022 is $2258.50 and will provide coverage through August 31, 2022. You can find a summary of the plan details here.

If you will not be enrolled in classes at Lewis & Clark for Spring semester, you are ineligible to purchase Spring student health insurance. You are eligible to apply for individual health insurance through the health insurance marketplace (https://www.healthcare.gov) due to your loss of coverage. To take advantage of this special enrollment option you must apply for coverage within 60 days of your loss of coverage.

If you are an undergraduate or law student, the above timelines do not apply to you.
