the Center Launches IMPACT Certificate

The Center for Social Change and Community Involvement launches the Lewis & Clark College IMPACT Certificate for service learning and leadership.

Lewis & Clark College and the Center for Social Change and Community Involvement (the Center) value thoughtful engagement in service and leadership as an integral part of student development and growth.

Beginning January 2022, the Center will offer Lewis & Clark undergraduate students the opportunity to complete the IMPACT certificate. The IMPACT certificate program aims to prepare students for civic leadership through a variety of immersive service-learning experiences, leadership development opportunities, and personal reflection.

We want to recognize students for their commitment to continued co-curricular learning. Students that complete the IMPACT certificate will be recognized with a stole to wear at graduation and invited to an informal celebration at the end of the academic year. Graduating seniors in the class of 2022 who previously participated in Student Leadership and Service activities will have the opportunity to apply for the IMPACT certificate retroactively.  For more information, students may contact Dr. Kayleigh McCauley-Sayer.
