A Spring 2022 Zoom Review
With the beginning of the Spring 2022 term and the extension of remote teaching through February 7, it’s a good time to review some important Zoom feature additions and updates from the past year that you may have missed.
Licensed Zoom accounts now include real-time speech-to-text live transcription that can generate captions during Zoom sessions.
A pronouns field has been added to Zoom profiles
Zoom now includes a built-in video player for playing video files, which improves shared video playback quality and accessibility
The option is available for attendees to choose their breakout rooms rather than needing to be placed by the meeting host or co-host.
Video reordering and multi-pin allows users in gallery view to click and drag user windows, reordering to their own desired layout.
- Information Technology has created a form for faculty and staff to request licensed Zoom accounts.
