Education Instructor Bill Layton discusses how parents can encourage children to succeed without being overbearing in this Oregonian podcast.

 

Education Instructor Bill Layton was recently interviewed for an Oregonian podcast about how parents can encourage children to succeed in extracurricular activities without being overbearing.

Layton spent 32 years in the K-12 education sector before becoming a school counseling instructor at Lewis & Clark Graduate School of Education and Counseling in 2001. Layton taught grades 2, 3, and 6 at various school districts and was a superintendent, principal, assistant principal and school counselor. He has also worked as a child development specialist and as a migrant summer program director. He is a member of the American School Counseling Association, Oregon School Counseling Association, and Confederation of School Administrators.
