AVP and Director of Campaign Operations Aaron Whiteford BA ’00 to Depart L&C
Associate Vice President and Director of Campaign Operations Aaron Whiteford has accepted a new opportunity withTalent+ as a leadership consultant and will be leaving Lewis & Clark College later this summer. In this role, he will advise senior executives for global companies and help them build high-performing teams using a strength-based approach to maximize individual team members’ performance, engagement, and job satisfaction.
Aaron graduated from Lewis & Clark in 2000, and started working at Lewis & Clark in September 2007. He returned to his alma mater to manage the Annual Giving phonathon program. What he viewed as a “one-year gig” before returning to graduate school to pursue a masters in urban planning, turned into a 14+ year “stint” at the College. While at Lewis & Clark, he has held various positions within the Advancement division, rising through the ranks of the Office of Annual Giving before assuming his current role.
Over the course of his career at L&C, Aaron closed numerous transformational gifts including a $2.5 million commitment that, when fully realized, will impact the lives of generations of students. Aaron also served on various college-wide committees ranging from budget to benefits and everything in between. Aaron was instrumental in directing the college through its first campaign in over two decades. However, he’s most proud of the relationships he built with hundreds of alumni, parents, and fellow L&C staff and faculty.
Aaron’s last day will be August 5, but he is taking some well-deserved vacation beforehand. As an alum he will always be part of the Lewis & Clark community. We look forward to celebrating his years of service with him at an event sometime in the early fall.
