Senior Art Exhibition 2010

The Senior Art Exhibition 2010 brings together the work of 19 graduating seniors in the Department of Art. April 2-May 9, 2010

This spring, the Senior Art Exhibition brings together the work of 19 graduating seniors in the Department of Art. Representing the culmination of the work created during the students’ senior year, the exhibition is an event that the Lewis & Clark College community looks forward to and enthusiastically supports.

Reflecting the diverse disciplines taught in the Department of Art, the exhibition will include works in a variety of mediums—ceramics, drawing, graphic arts, painting, photography, and sculpture. Similarly diverse, students credit myriad sources of inspiration for their art in this exhibition, which demonstrates many months of experimentation, discovery, and critique.

To help students prepare for a career in art and help push their creative boundaries, student art majors are required to complete a senior project. They begin the process by working with faculty to develop proposals for their projects before beginning their senior year and prepare by engaging in a series of practical seminars  and meeting with professional artists from the local, regional and national art scene.
