The annual Student Life Awards recipients were announced on May 29, 2024 at the May Student Life divisional luncheon. Student Life Awards are annually presented to recognize staff for their hard work and dedication to the division mission and the student experience. 


Bill Curtis

Bill Curtis, Associate Vice President of Student Life Operations and Strategic Initiatives

Rev. Mark Duntley Award

Recognizes an individual for excellent administrative and professional performance that enhances the functioning of an office and helps achieve the goals of the division.


Gaby Herrmann Gaby Herrmann, Case Manager

Medallion Award

Recognizes an emerging professional who consistently goes above and beyond in their efforts to support the student experience. The recipient of this award is new to Lewis & Clark (five years or less) and/or new to the field of Student Affairs (five years or less).


Andrea Salyer Campus Safety Staff Center for Social Change and Community Involvement, and Campus Safety

Team Award

Recognizes a Student Life office who created a team environment of collaborative relationships, brought a spirit of inclusion to all that they do, demonstrated a commitment to values of diversity, and strived to cultivate the best student experience.

This year’s selection committee co-selected Andrea Salyer, Director of the Center for Social Change and Community Involvement, and the Campus Safety Team.

Excellence in Innovation Award

Recognizes an individual whose exceptional innovative and creative initiatives enhance the Division of Student Life.


Renee Orlick Renée Orlick, Assistant Vice President of Institutional Research and Planning

Partner Award

Recognizes a staff or faculty member outside of the Division of Student Life who has contributed to the division’s goals and objectives through collaboration, involvement and partnership.
