Lewis & Clark named a top producer of Fulbright winners

Lewis & Clark is one of the top producers of Fulbright award winners in the country, with the third-highest acceptance rate among liberal arts colleges.

In national rankings published by The Chronicle of Higher Education, Lewis & Clark is tied for 13th among liberal arts institutions for the total number of Fulbright awards offered to students for 2010-2011. One-half of Lewis & Clark Fulbright applicants received awards, an acceptance rate exceeding that of Stanford, Harvard, Yale, Amherst, and Bowdoin, among other highly ranked colleges and universities.

Funded by the U.S. Department of State, the Fulbright Program provides grants to students and professionals for the opportunity to do graduate study or research or to teach at the elementary to the university level in countries all around the world.

Lewis & Clark students and young alumni have received 24 Fulbright awards since 2007, demonstrating a sustained commitment to international education and engagement.
