 Favorite places:

Recently ranked the second most beautiful college campus in the country by Princeton Review, Lewis & Clark’s park-like campus is nestled among towering trees and trillium-lined creeks in a quiet residential neighborhood. In this video, students talk about their favorite places on campus, from the student-run co-op to the reflecting pool with a view of Mount Hood.

 Best classes:

As a college of liberal arts and sciences, Lewis & Clark offers reading, writing, and arithmetic—plus international economics, marine biology, feminist theory, existentialism, and a whole lot more. In this video, students offer their recommendations for classes that all students should take at Lewis & Clark.

 Inside the Department of Theatre:

With two stages—the black box and the main stage—the Department of Theatre offers a wide variety of performances. In this video, student actors, directors, designers, and technicians talk about their experiences within the department.

 The Co-op:

Lewis & Clark’s student-run cooperative is more than just a place to grab a cup of fair-trade coffee—it’s also a popular place to study and a venue for concerts and DIY festivals. In this video, students talk about the co-op’s role as a community gathering spot.

 Stewart Hall:

Each residence hall on campus has a different personality, and many halls focus on themes like environmentalism and performing arts. Stewart Hall is a wellness-themed hall, and in this video, an RA from Stewart discusses life on campus and offers a glimpse into her single room.

 Watzek Library:

No matter their major, Lewis & Clark students spend time at Watzek Library. In this video, a senior psychology major offers a look at some of her favorite features of the library.

 Akin Hall:

As home to Lewis & Clark’s Multicultural Themed Community, the mission of Akin Hall is to enrich the experience of the student body and the Lewis & Clark community by promoting intercultural understanding and celebration. In this video, Akin residents talk about the friendships they’ve made within the hall and the value of living in a closely knit multicultural community.

 Olin Lab:

While at Lewis & Clark, many students conduct advanced research alongside distinguished faculty, investigating topics from gecko adhesion to neurotoxicity. In this video, students discuss researching memory in the Olin Center for Physics and Chemistry.

 Athletics:

Lewis & Clark boasts 19 athletics programs for students at the college, including football, basketball, golf, swimming, soccer, volleyball, track and field, and rowing. In this video, Andrew Foote BA ’10 talks about the art of balancing his academic and athletic roles, and his appreciation for the support he gets from the Lewis & Clark community.
