Associate Vice President, Foundation Relations & Strategic Philanthropy

David Johnson joined Lewis & Clark in 2018, and manages the institution’s relationships with foundations, corporations, and individuals interested in supporting LC’s strategic priorities. David previously worked at the University of Oregon and Reed College, and enjoys the process of identifying projects at Lewis & Clark that are an ideal match for the philanthropic interests of its supporters.

David holds a BA in Political Science from Carleton College, and a MA in English/American Studies from the University of Utah. When he’s not working with faculty, staff, and students at Lewis & Clark, David can be found at home in Portland, or exploring the outdoors in Oregon. David enjoys biking, kayaking, paddleboarding, and cooking, and shares his house with his two children and his English bulldog, Gus.
