Job Description

Without Limits NW is a locally run provider organization in the Portland metro area. We provide one on one community inclusion and employment supports to adult individuals experiencing intellectual/developmental disability (I/DD). Our aim is to help folks live their best life, whatever that may look like for them. We strive to have motivated, compassionate, and reliable staff to work with our customers to help them live active and independent lives. In this position, you will work with 1:1 with customers in the community or home with things like identifying/planning free or low cost activities to do, socializing, learning independent living skills, organizational skills, budgeting skills, encouraging self-advocacy, developing receptive and expressive communication skills, making healthy choices/getting exercise, and cues to maintain a healthy living environment. No hands-on care or lifting needed for current customers. Current opportunities: Male customer near SE 122nd and Division. Only available on Mondays/Tuesdays (Meet once weekly) Female customer near SE 162nd and Stark. Female provider requested by customer. (Meet 1-2x weekly) Female customer near SE Foster and 140th. (Meet once weekly). Female provider requested by customer. Male customer in outer NE, able to meet 2-3 times per month/generally on weekends. Male customer in Beavercreek (Meet 1-2x weekly) Hiring for PT staff. Hours may range from 5-15hrs per week depending on who are you matched up with. *****You need a reliable vehicle due to where our customers are located and must be willing to commute to where they live. Mileage reimbursement is available for most customers (while they are in the vehicle). Due to background checks and training, it can be slow to get started at first. It is a great job for students or anyone with a flexible schedule! You are responsible for setting activities with your customer and getting hours in, so you must be self-motivated and organized. Optional group activities are organized each month such as attending festivals, exploring the coast, hiking, street fairs, etc.

Job Qualifications

Requirements: -Have reliable vehicle and willingness to drive to where our customers live. -You must be able to have clear and prompt communication with your customer, management and other staff. Most staff communication is done via text or email. -You must be competent in creating and editing word documents, have access to a scanner and the ability to turn a scanned document into a PDF file. -Read, write, and speak English well. -Organizational skills: managing your schedule and paperwork. -You are required to submit an activity log and notes on your activities (around 4 sentences per activity) twice per month by email in a timely manner. -Treat everyone with respect and dignity. -Be self-motivated and self-directed. -You must have Adult CPR/First Aid certification by the time you complete training. -Pass background check. -Experience working with adults with I/DD preferred, but not required.

Hours/Shifts: 5-15 hours per week available

Pay: $14/hr
