Jason Stanford BA ’92 coauthored Forget the Alamo: The Rise and Fall of an American Myth with Bryan Burrough and Chris Tomlinson. It was published on June 8, 2021, by Penguin Random House and ranked No. 10 on the combined hardcover and e-book New York Times Best Seller list a month later. In April, Stanford became chief of communications and community engagement for the Austin Independent School District. One of the perks of the job was getting to hand his youngest son a diploma at his graduation ceremony in May.
