Jewish Student Life Coordinator, Hillel
Leah Chasin began serving as PDX Hillel Jewish Student Life coordinator for Lewis & Clark in July 2019. Leah was born and raised in a suburb outside of Los Angeles where she loved going to temple and being involved in the Jewish community. Leah decided to ditch the SoCal heat and move to a more temperate climate for college where she studied Digital Communication Arts and Public Health at Oregon State University. Leah found her true passion in rebuilding her university’s chapter of Hillel by serving on the student board all 4 years of college. After graduating, Leah decided to continue building Jewish community in Oregon by moving into the Portland Moishe House where she and four roommates create Jewish programming for young adults. Leah hopes to inspire Lewis & Clark students in the same way devoted Hillel staff inspired her to become a leader in her community.
Leah serves as a staff affiliate for the Office of Spiritual Life, and is employed by PDX Hillel. In addition to serving the Jewish community at Lewis & Clark College, Leah also works at Portland State University. Please reach out to Leah via email if you would like to get in contact.
