Equipment & Packing List

The Northwest Oregon Coast has a rich human and natural history! On this trip, we’ll visit areas that have been important to peoples for thousands of years, see where members of the Lewis and Clark expedition first reached the Pacific Ocean, and hike coastal trails and ancient forests. Every day we’ll explore a different area, and return at night to a rustic summer camp, which sits near the ocean on the traditional lands of the Chinook and Clatsop Tribes. We plan to visit Fort Clatsop, the National Historic Park where the Lewis & Clark Expedition wintered from 1805-1806, and experience the dramatic landscape of coastal bluffs, beaches, rainforest, and tide pools.
