Hannah Sherman joined the PDX Hillel team as Executive Director in July 2018. She enjoys forming and growing relationships with students, parents, faculty and administration, and community members. Hannah can often be seen as part of the active Hillel team at Lewis & Clark.
Prior to leading PDX Hillel, Hannah spent four years working at Santa Barbara Hillel, reinventing the student leadership board as well as supervising other staff members to expand Hillel’s reach into the university community.
Hannah grew up in the suburbs of Los Angeles before spending four years as a Banana Slug at UC Santa Cruz. She then pursued her graduate studies at Brandeis University’s Hornstein Program, receiving a dual Master of Arts in Jewish Professional Leadership and Near Eastern and Judaic Studies. She loves calling Portland her home and welcomes suggestions on the best food cart in town!
