William C. Hickerson BA ’49, September 24, 2021, age 98. Hickerson spent his career teaching music at schools in Oregon. After retirement, he joined the Peace Corps and served in Fiji. He spent 55 years with the Oregon Jazz Band and enjoyed traveling with his family to many different performance venues. Survivors include his wife of 72 years, Joyce; his children, Richard, Gerald, Patrick, Andrew, and Ruth; eight grandchildren; and three great-grandchildren.
