Amy Chesbrough BA ’05 writes: “My thesis for my honors history degree was about underground midwives in California in the 1970s. I learned a lot about natural childbirth and how modern medicine has integrated the techniques of midwives from that era. I recently became a labor and delivery nurse, and it is very satisfying to put those practices into action!”
