Cole Souder joined GEI as a staff attorney in September, 2024. He graduated from Lewis & Clark Law School in 2024, where he was a member of the Environmental Moot Court Team, the Submissions Editor for Environmental Law Review, and a teaching fellow. He also externed for Judge Michael Simon at the United States District Court for the District of Oregon and at Vestas American Wind Technologies. Cole previously received a Masters in U.S. History from San Francisco State University, where he focused on race and politics in the early 19th century. He graduated summa cum laude from the University of Puget Sound, majoring in History and minoring in Economics. When he’s not working, Cole enjoys cooking, reading, basketball, and playing with his pet cat, Goose, and rabbit, Kiwi.
