Favorite spot on campus: Anywhere behind the Frank Manor House where you can see Mt. Hood, it’s the most amazing view on campus! When the weather is good and there is a clear view all the way to the mountain, you know it’s going to be a good day!

Little-known fact about me: I’ve been playing music for over half of my life! I play the flute, oboe, piccolo, (some) piano, and my next goal is to be able to play the guitar.

Piece of advice for students in the college search process: Trust your gut. You are going to hear so many things from so many different people about what you should be looking for in a college and where you should go, but you are the only one who knows what the best fit will be for you and your needs. It’s still helpful to chat with other people to get ideas about different colleges to look into more, but at the end of the day this is about YOU!

Favorite place to spend time in Portland: I LOVE spending time at coffee shops, and Blue Kangaroo has been a favorite of mine since I was a student at L&C! It’s a great spot to go study off campus, to hang out and read, or to just stop by for a drink before wandering around the Sellwood neighborhood.

If I was stranded on a desert island, I would want these three things:

  • A lifetime supply of sunscreen
  • A fully stocked craft store for my sanity
  • My two cats, Atlas and Zenith, who would adore bird watching with me (this desert island better have birds…)

If I didn’t work in Admissions, I would be: Probably working in a plant nursery or a garden store. I absolutely love working in the dirt and growing things is so rewarding!
