Amanda Wilson

Groundskeeper

Facilities Services

Advice to students: travel as much as you can. Nothing opens up your mind like encountering new people and situations. Also if you see trash on the ground don’t step over it and hope someone else picks it up. Be a good citizen and make the effort. And don’t flick your cigarette butts away! Put them in your pocket or carry an empty breath mints tin with you.

Additional Information

Amanda is a Californian who moved here from San Francisco 13 years ago. She worked as a bartender for 15 years and in the food/beverage industry for 30 years total, before seeking a career in landscaping and gardening. She received a horticulture degree from Clackamas Community College. Amanda enjoys gardening and landscaping because of the hands-on work. She loves her job because she gets to “play in the dirt, make beautiful landscapes, talk to people (and their dogs), and drive tractors.” Outside of work, Amanda enjoys traveling, cooking, and going out on the river with friends.
