Discrimination and Harassment Policy

Policy Statement: Lewis & Clark College is committed to providing a learning and working environment free from all forms of harassment and discrimination. The College opposes all conduct which has the purpose or effect of creating an intimidating, hostile, or offensive working, campus living or academic experience, including conduct that is based upon actual or perceived race, color, sex, religion, age, marital status, national origin, the presence of any physical or sensory disability, veteran status, sexual orientation, gender identity, gender expression, or any other basis protected by applicable local, state or federal law.

Retaliation against any employee or student for making a complaint is prohibited. The College maintains a separate Sexual Harassment Policy.

Procedures: Complaints against faculty or staff shall follow the Discrimination and Harassment Complaint Procedures.


College of Arts and Sciences

Policies and procedures related to discrimination and harassment by a student are included in the Student Code of Conduct. Questions or concerns may be directed to the Dean of Students.
