Ken Owens BA and Sally Fitzgerald Owens CAS ’57 celebrated their 60th wedding anniversary. Since his retirement from teaching in 2000, Ken has written books and articles on both the California gold rush era and early Russian America. His most recent work, Empire Maker: Aleksandr Baranov and Russian Colonial Expansion Into Alaska and Northern California, will be published by the University of Washington Press in spring 2015.
