Director of Public Relations
With a background in media relations, media strategy, public affairs, and speechwriting, Roy is an award-winning communications practitioner with 15 years in the PR trenches – from PR agencies to the political campaigns to the halls of government.
A lifelong fan and student of comedy and improvisation, Roy studied at the Second City Theater training school in Los Angeles, one of his favorite academic experiences. When not ‘Yes And’-ing, Roy gets to apply his insatiable curiosity to his work at Lewis & Clark, always searching out interesting stories and people (both of which are in abundance on Palatine Hill).
Roy hold a master’s degree in international relations from the University of San Diego and a bachelor’s degree in international relations from the University of California, Davis. A resident of Portland, Oregon, Roy can be found running the trails of Tryon Creek State Park, practicing yoga, geeking out on comedy and politics, and enjoying the company of his brilliant wife, extremely intelligent and handsome children, and faithful old mutt.
