I grew up in the U.S., Canada, and Singapore and I spent my sophomore year of college in Angers, France. Luckily I have had the good fortune of traveling through parts of Asia, Europe, Australia and North America and I hope to see more of the world as well.
While living in Japan for 3 years in the mid ’90’s, I taught English as a Foreign Language on the JET Program. I have also taught Beginning Japanese and Advanced Business English to adult professionals in Portland. I’ve also worked as a technical visit tour coordinator for Nippon Express in San Francisco, and for a translation and software localization firm in Portland.
When I’m not camping in the Cascades with my husband and two children, you can find me enjoying time with both old and new friends over dinner. I also also write stories and nonfiction for children and adults. My poem “Runoff” was featured in the August 2015 edition of The Gorge Literary Journal.
