Shannon Brady BA ’06
Shannon Brady BA ’06 completed a PhD in developmental and psychological studies at the Stanford Graduate School of Education last June. Her dissertation is titled “A Scarlet Letter? Institutional Messages about Academics Can, But Need Not, Elicit Shame and Stigma.” She is continuing postdoctoral research at Stanford and living in nearby Menlo Park, California, with husband James Atkin BA ’06.
To Shannon Brady BA ’06 and James Atkin BA ’06, daughter Hannah, June 2019, in Winston-Salem, North Carolina. The baby’s name was inspired by her ancestry–each of her parents had a great-grandmother named Hannah.
