Rafting trips!!! I love how CO allows me to get these experiences that are not a “normal” college experience. I’ve been able to learn how to raft and guide raft trips through CO, which is something I had never even thought about in high school and now it’s a big part of my life.
I’m studying biology on the pre-med track with the hopes of going on to work either for Doctors Without Boarders with either a focus in pediatrics or wilderness medicine. I took the Wilderness First Responder course with NOLS through CO and really enjoyed it. I’m studying abroad in Australia studying venoms and poisons and am also potentially thinking of focusing on medicine that parallels what I learn abroad. When I’m at LC, I’m really involved with the dance program and have danced every semester. Along with working with College Outdoors, I also work with the admissions office, the grad campus Counseling and Psychology office, the campus bookstore, Maggie’s Cafe.
