What’s your favorite class? How has it expanded your knowledge?

My favorite class so far has been Intro to Psychology with Jolina Ruckert. I learned a great deal about content very applicable to everyday life and Jolina made that learning fun!

What made you want to come to Lewis & Clark?

I actually spent a whole year at LC as a barista in the Dovecote but not as a student. That year on campus made me realize how much I wanted to join the community, as both a student and an athlete. I learned that the people are wonderful, the campus is beautiful, and the opportunities to be myself were impossible to pass up.

How do you balance your coursework with the demands of being a two-sport varsity athlete?

I find it helps to have a good plan of action with each day, allotting time for homework, practice, meals, and some time to do nothing. Also having friends/teammates to do all that with is lovely.

What advice do you have for prospective students?

Be creative in the Bon (dining hall).

What’s your favorite spot on campus?

The rose garden.

What’s your favorite thing about living in Portland?

The easy access to a little bit of everything!

How did you decide on a major?

I have always been interested in the human body and thought biology was my best bet in learning the most about it.

What’s your best Lewis & Clark memory so far?

In general, meeting some very cool people.

How has Lewis & Clark has changed you?

I like to think I’m a little more knowledgeable about things I didn’t even know I was interested in and I wear some cooler clothes.
