Eric Sauer BA ’18 was a participant in the prestigious Western States Ultra, the oldest 100-mile trail race in the world. Beginning in Squaw Valley, California, runners climb more than 18,000 feet then descend over 22,000 before reaching the finish line in Auburn, California. Sauer finished 162nd after more than 26 hours on the road.
