I’ve had a close contact.
If you have had a close contact—defined by the CDC as being within six feet for 15 minutes or more over a 24-hour period, indoors or outdoors—follow these guidelines.
- Self-monitor for symptoms until you have reached the end of 10 full days from the close contact. If you experience COVID symptoms or obtain a positive COVID test result at any time, please read the guidance for students or employees in that situation.
- Wear a well-fitting mask for 10 full days after your last close contact with the infected person.
- Take an at-home antigen test at the end of day five after your last exposure. If you test negative, plan to re-test 48 hours later. If you need a test on day five, they are available to all L&C community members in the Health Promotion suite in Templeton 110 or in the Campus Safety Office. If you test positive, isolate immediately and follow these directions for students or these directions for employees. If your test is negative, continue to wear your mask through the end of day 10 post-exposure.
