About the Photostream

We welcome anyone to share photos for a chance to appear on the Lewis & Clark homepage.

Students, faculty, staff, alumni, and visitors contribute photos of everything from overseas programs to on-campus barbecues. Each month, we collect submissions of these Lewis & Clark-related photos and select a new photo to feature on the Lewis & Clark homepage every week. 

Photostream is sponsored by the Office of Public Affairs and Communications. Contact or call 503-768-7960 with questions.

To Participate:

  • e-mail or tag #lcphotostream on Instagram

  • attach the largest available size of your image

  • include a caption describing when and where the photo was taken and who is pictured

  • include your name and class year, title, or Lewis & Clark connection

Please note: We look for images that reflect the subject matter as it appeared in the camera’s viewfinder. Nothing should be added to an image, and nothing should be taken away. Cropping and minor adjustments to color and contrast are acceptable, but no further manipulation of images is allowed.

What Happens Next:

We’ll upload the photos you share to the official Lewis & Clark Flickr and Instagram accounts. If we select your image to be featured on the homepage, you will be entered into our monthly prize drawing. Photostream submissions will also be considered for the Lewis & Clark Facebook cover image and our institutional social media channels, always with appropriate attribution. If we really love your photo and are interested in using it in other ways, we’ll get in touch to discuss further!
