The Office of Communications manages Lewis & Clark’s three official YouTube channels—one for each school—populated with marketing videos made primarily by our office’s undergraduate student workers.
Our office produces around 10 videos per year with no dedicated budget, and we do not charge back for our services. We keep these criteria in mind when creating our production calendar:
- Target audience: Prospective Lewis & Clark students and their families
- Sustainability: Content should be relevant for at least 3–4 years
- Equity and Inclusion: Content strives to represent these values
- Brand: Content should highlight what makes L&C stand out from its peers, and adhere to best practices/technical standards
If you have the budget to hire an outside company to create a video for your office or department, we’d love to lend our expertise to your project. We can do everything from recommend video production companies (including some run by L&C alumni!), to help with storyboarding, to collaborate on your script.
