In order to provide the best possible service, service requests must be received at least five business days prior to your event. A flat rate of $20 per hour will be charged for any recording or editing work, regardless of the number of hours. If your service request is received fewer than five business days before your event, you will be charged a rush service fee of $150 to cover costs for accelerated services. Marketing Videos

The Office of Communications has a professional videographer on staff and a team of student video production assistants to create content in-house. Our talented team collaborates with communications staff and campus partners to create incredible content with limited resources. You can see their work on Lewis & Clark’s YouTube channels:

We produce around 10 videos per year with no dedicated budget, and we do not charge back for our services. We thus have to be extremely strategic when we choose our content. We keep these criteria in mind when creating our production calendar:

  • Target audience: Prospective Lewis & Clark students and their families
  • Sustainability: Content should be relevant for at least 3-4 years
  • Equity and inclusion: Content strives to represent these values
  • Brand: Content should highlight what makes L&C stand out from its peers, and adhere to best practices/technical standards.

To suggest an idea to Communications for a marketing video, please submit your video production brief to describe the scope of your project.

If you have the budget to hire an outside company to create a video for your office or department, we’d love to lend our expertise to your project. We can recommend video production companies (including some run by L&C alumni!), that can help with storyboarding, or collaborate on your script. Give us a call or send an email to get the conversation started (503-768-7970 or communications@lclark.edu).
