Financial Aid Award Information for Undergraduate Early Decision and Early Action Students

Due to this year’s delayed FAFSA timeline, we are using the CSS Profile to provide financial aid award information to Early Decision and Early Action students who are applying for need-based aid. The CSS Profile is required for Early Decision students and recommended for Early Action students. You will still need to file the FAFSA in order to receive your official financial aid offer.

Lewis & Clark’s school code for the CSS Profile is 4384.

Deadline

In order to give you your financial aid award information at the same time as your admissions decision, please complete the CSS Profile by our priority deadline of November 1, 2024.

Fee Waiver

We will provide a fee waiver to everyone submitting the CSS Profile. Please contact the Admissions office (admissions@lclark.edu) for your unique code.

You may begin filling out the Profile prior to receiving your fee waiver, but do not submit the completed form until you have the code. If you submit your profile without using your unique code, you will be charged and we cannot reimburse you.

Get Started With the FAFSA

To apply for financial aid, the first thing all students—undergraduate, graduate, and law—must do is complete the Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA) each year. Our school code for the FAFSA is 003197.

You may have heard the news that the FAFSA is in the middle of a major remodel! The goal is to make it simpler to complete, but it also means the FAFSA for the 2025-26 year won’t be available until December 2024.

Pro Tip: you need an FSA ID to complete the FAFSA. Here’s a quick video tutorial to help with that process. You and anyone else (like a parent!) who will be contributing information to your FAFSA should create an FSA ID at least a couple of days before you file the FAFSA.
