Eligibility for Immediate Participation

 

The one-year eligibility waiting period for the employer contributions to your retirement savings plan may be waived if all of the following conditions are met by your most recent employment:

(1)    employed for a minimum of one year at an institution of higher education

(2)    worked at least 1000 hours (per year) in a position that was not temporary, adjunct or student status

(3)    separated from position within six months before the first day with Lewis & Clark

(4)    the former employer made contributions to your retirement account

A letter from the prior employer is required to document waive eligibility.  Generally, the Human Resources office can provide the documentation by using the following format.  The letter can be faxed to 503.768.6233, sent by email to hr@lclark.edu, or snail mailed to the address below.
