Lewis & Clark Paid Leave Program

In compliance with the State of Oregon’s new Paid Leave Oregon (or PLO) program, the Lewis & Clark Paid Leave Program will become available for eligible Lewis & Clark employees beginning September 3, 2023. This program covers all employees of Lewis & Clark except for student employees.

Now is the time to transfer ownership of Google Drive files to make sure you don’t lose access to files owned by former employees or students.

We’ve already shared information on how to avoid data loss when former student and employee accounts are deleted. We are following up with specific information on the plan to remove these accounts.

L&C Accounts Will No Longer Have Access to Google Photos Starting July 1, 2022

Google Photos will be turned off for all Lewis & Clark accounts on July 1, 2022. The Google Photos application is not a core service covered by the Google for Education Workspace agreement with schools. In addition, Google Photos application poses a storage liability with the end of free unlimited storage for schools.

Open Enrollment: Employees Must Log Into Workday to Select Coverage Feb. 28–Mar. 11

All benefit changes during Open Enrollment will be done online in Workday. Due to plan changes or IRS requirements (FSA and DCSA) some benefits will require you to manually enroll in coverage. You will receive an email notification and an item in your Workday in-box to start the process on Monday, February 28, 2022. Open Enrollment closes on Friday, March 11, 2022.

The Lewis & Clark Board of Trustees announced today it has selected Dr. Robin Holmes-Sullivan as the institution’s 26th president. The appointment of Holmes-Sullivan follows a rigorous nationwide search that attracted a strong pool of over a hundred applicants.

COVID Vaccination Policy Now Applies to All Employee Groups

Earlier this summer, the College announced its new Employee COVID-19 Vaccination Policy. Although immediately effective for most employees, the policy was not made immediately effective for our represented employees, in order to give the College the opportunity to discuss the policy with our bargaining unit leaders.

New Remote Work Policy and Agreement Now Available

The new Staff Remote Work Policy has been released and posted to the Human Resources website. The policy includes a link for documenting any remote work agreements.

Lewis & Clark’s Presidential Search Is Underway

The presidential search committee has been appointed, with Trustees Paula Hayes BS ’92 and Pat Mahaffy BA ’85 as co-chairs. The other 13 members of the committee include additional trustees, faculty, and staff, as well as a student representative.

The Status of Campus COVID-19 Restrictions and a Vaccination Rate Update

We are in the process of updating all of our COVID-related policies regarding events, travel, face coverings, testing, etc., and will share those policies, as well as an updated COVID webpage, in mid-July. In the meantime, the current requirement that unvaccinated persons wear face coverings when inside campus buildings remains in place.

Ernevad has 22 years of experience working in the built environment industry, with the last eight years in higher education. Most recently, David served as the director of Facilities Operations and Capital Projects for Seattle Central College where he oversaw campus master planning, capital construction, physical plant engineering, custodial services, and mail and receiving.

During the day, Scott will hold four training sessions for staff and faculty. Please identify at least one time that works with your schedule and make it a priority to attend this event.
