Association for Institutional Research (AIR)

The primary purpose of AIR is to support institutional researchers in the process of collecting, analyzing, and converting data into information that supports decision-making in higher education.  The organization provides educational resources, best practices and professional development opportunities for more than 4,000 members.

Pacific Northwest Association for Institutional Research and Planning (PNAIRP)

PNAIRP is an international association for institutional researchers and planners from public and private two-year and four-year post-secondary institutions, and state, provincial and territorial agencies from Alaska, British Columbia, Idaho, Oregon, Washington and Yukon.

Oregon Alliance of Independent Colleges and Universities (The Alliance)

The Alliance represents and serves Oregon’s regionally accredited, not-for-profit colleges and universities by providing advocacy, facilitating inter-institutional cooperation, and forging strategic collaborations with businesses, philanthropic organizations, and the government.

Higher Education Data Sharing Consortium (HEDS)

HEDS is a not-for-profit organization of colleges and universities committed to sharing data, knowledge, and expertise to advance undergraduate liberal arts education, inclusive excellence, and student success. Lewis & Clark College makes extensive use of HEDS surveys in order to gain insights about our students and to benchmark against other similar institutions.  

Higher Education Research Institution (HERI) and Cooperative Institutional Research Program (CIRP)

HERI’s mission is to inform educational policy and promote institutional improvement through an increased understanding of higher education and its impact on college students.  Their research model focuses on longitudinal studies, including the CIRP Freshman Survey.

National Association of Independent Colleges and Universities (NAICU)

NAICU represents private, nonprofit higher education on public policy issues in Washington, D.C.

National Center for Education Statistics (NCES)

The NCES is the primary federal entity for collecting and analyzing data related to education in the U.S. and other nations. It fulfills a Congressional mandate to collect, collate, analyze, and report complete statistics on the condition of American education; conduct and publish reports; and review and report on education activities internationally.

US Department of Education (ED.gov)

This site provides key information on policies on federal financial aid for education, data and research on America’s schools, and the latest publications on key educational issues.
