Inaugural Dinner

Portland Art Museum, Fred and Suzanne Fields Sunken Ballroom
Institutional delegates, longtime supporters of Lewis & Clark, trustees, and special guests of President Barry Glassner gather to kick off inaugural festivities. By invitation.

Friday, April 8

The Future of Higher Education: Myth vs. Reality

10 a.m.
Agnes Flanagan Chapel
President Glassner hosts scholars from Lewis & Clark, Northwestern University, Pitzer College, and the University of Southern California for an intriguing conversation about the future of higher education. All are welcome to attend.

Installation Ceremony

3:30 p.m.
Pamplin Sports Center (Live web cast available at lclark.edu beginning at 3:15 p.m.)
The Lewis & Clark community, delegates from colleges and universities across the country, and family and friends of Barry Glassner come together to recognize and honor the 24th president of Lewis & Clark. Reception to follow. All are welcome to attend.

Inaugural Bash

8 p.m.–2 a.m.
Crystal Ballroom
Lewis & Clark students gather to celebrate the inauguration of President Glassner! The top three student bands from the Lewis & Clark Battle of the Bands competition headline the event. Karaoke is offered in Lola’s Room. Wrap up the evening dancing to music provided by a D.J. Open to students of Lewis & Clark.

Saturday, April 9

Spring Into Action: A Day of Service

11:30 a.m.–4:30 p.m.
Students, alumni, faculty, staff, and parents from all three Lewis & Clark schools come together to engage in projects that address issues of poverty, the environment, and social justice. All are welcome to participate.
