Photography
Though we don’t have a dedicated staff photographer, we do have an extensive digital library of images taken by professionals for use in communications produced through PubCom. Some of these photos are available for use by faculty, staff, and students on their webpages.
Using Images From Our Collection
Contact our photo assistant for images for use on your Lewis & Clark webpages. (And contact New Media if you need assistance working with these images in LiveWhale.)

Event Photography
We are only minimally involved in event photography. At our discretion, we may coordinate freelance professional photography for certain events—such as alumni weekends, commencement, and symposia—that are likely to yield images appropriate for the communications we produce.
Need to Hire a Photographer?
If we are unable to provide suitable photos for your project from our collection, we can help you budget for photography and put you in touch with freelance photographers. Just contact us.
Providing Images for Print
If you are providing PubCom with a photo for a print project, please be mindful of resolution issues. The bigger the file or print, the better it is for our purposes. To ensure good quality for print publication, it is important to make sure all digital images are at least 5 inches by 7 inches at 300 dpi. An 8x10 glossy works well, too.
Filming and Commercial Photography
Please see our policy regarding filming and photography for commercial purposes on our campus.
