The LiveWhale CMS software runs the public website for Lewis & Clark. Like any software, there are sometimes bugs. The following are known issues that the New Media team is working on.
On-campus users can have timeout errors loading website. Fonts can be affected too.
Global News Bulletin sometimes widgets ignore balloons in sorting
Google Analytics report PDFs have stopped emailing.
Some forms with file submission fields do not work properly.
Maps on the Visit page are not loading. (temporary fix in place.)
Some older profiles widgets (using “default” template) are displaying poorly (and should be manually switched to “2021: profile list”).
Google is not displaying some pages in search
Adding/deleting a page from the Navigation manager can accidentally delete another page
DNS error where lclark.edu will fail on most browsers, though www.lclark.edu works fine
Individual events not displaying in Safari
Pages cannot be changed to a different template.
Some pages and widgets fail to load properly.
Bulk Upload files freezes on save and cannot complete processing
Photo credits are not displaying below their image, but floating alongside, and looking like regular text.
Overall slowness in LiveWhale editing, sometimes resulting in timeout errors.
With the 11/16 upgrade, some LiveWhale Profiles cannot render their sidebars and footers.
With the 11/16 upgrade, some image galleries cannot display. (A fix is in, but some are still failing.)
