As an institution of higher education, we believe in the value of education. Through our tuition assistance programs, we provide opportunities for our employees and their dependents to learn and grow personally and professionally. 

We offer three tuition opportunities for our employees and dependents. *Only one program can be used per employee or dependent in a given fiscal year*

Tuition Assistance Program Overview

Tuition Assistance for Part-Time Employees


1) Tuition Waive

Tuition Waive - Request Form


  • Percentage of tuition waived for classes at Lewis & Clark College.
    • 100% for CAS
    • 50% for GRAD
    • 50% for LAW


  • after one year of continuous service
    • at .75 FTE or above
  • employee
  • spouse / domestic partner
  • dependent children
    • CAS under 24 years old
    • GRAD/LAW under 30 years old


2) Tuition Reimbursement

Tuition Reimbursement - Request Form 


  • Reimbursement up to $5,000 annual maximum (an accumulated lifetime maximum of $20,000) per each dependent for undergraduate tuition costs at another accredited institution.
  • Cannot be used in the same fiscal year as that any other tuition assistance program is used. 


  • after five years of continuous service
    • at .75 FTE or above
  • spouse / domestic partner
  • dependent children



3) Tuition Exchange Scholarship

(application fee is $45, due to the Office of Human Resources MSC #72)

Tuition Exchange Fee Payment Portal


  • The Lewis & Clark sponsored student has the opportunity to apply for full or partial tuition assistance for the school attended through the National Tuition Exchange


  • after five years of continuous service
    • at .75 FTE or above
  • dependent children only
