Strong Showing from Lewis & Clark’s Jessup Team
The Lewis & Clark Jessup Team for 2014 - comprised of Shane Barnes, Tristan Parker, Brendan Stabeno, Ali Ward and Spencer Wilson and coached by alum Dagmar Butte - was a semi-finalist in the Mid-Atlantic Regional where 22 teams and over 80 speakers competed for team and individual honors.

Lewis & Clark’s Jessup team was once again successful in the Mid-Atlantic Regional in Washington, D.C. The Lewis & Clark Jessup Team for 2014 - comprised of Shane Barnes, Tristan Parker, Brendan Stabeno, Ali Ward and Spencer Wilson and coached by alum Dagmar Butte - was a semi-finalist in the Mid-Atlantic Regional where 22 teams and over 80 speakers competed for team and individual honors. The team ranked 3rd going into the quarter finals against American University and lost in semifinal round to the eventual Champion UVA. The team won the Fourth Best Brief prize. Shane Barnes was the Third Place oralist and received a perfect score of 100 from one of his judges. Brendan Stabeno was Eighth Place Oralist. The feedback for the team should make Lewis & Clark proud as they were consistently praised for their exceptional preparation and understanding of international law and the high quality of their responses to questions.
