Class of 1984 - Skip McKallip Scholarship

In honor of their 40th class reunion, the Class of 1984 Endowed Scholarship Fund established a 1L scholarship that honors the memory of their classmate George “Skip” McKallip. The Class of 1984 - Skip McKallip Scholarship assists incoming students showing merit and financial need, with a preference for those interested in Environmental, Natural Resources, Energy Law, or Property Law.

Skip McKallip, a distinguished alumnus of the Northwestern School of Law at Lewis & Clark College, was not only a renowned attorney but also a fervent advocate for education and environmental law. He was a leader in many significant and complex environmental and toxic tort litigation cases in the Northwest and was recognized as one of The Best Lawyers in America and Oregon Super Lawyers. Skip’s dedication extended beyond the courtroom to serving as President of the Grant High School Foundation, where he tirelessly supported quality education. His legacy of friendship, leadership, and advocacy lives on.

Each year, recipients will be chosen by the law school’s Associate Dean of Admissions.
