Student Academic Affairs Board (SAAB)

Welcome

The Student Academic Affairs Board (SAAB) is a unique part of your student government, the Associated Students of Lewis & Clark (ASLC). Created in 1982, SAAB is composed of one student representative from each academic department. The Board meets weekly to discuss issues of academic importance to the student body: curriculum matters, the academic calendar, the senior capstone/keystone experience, faculty retention, general education requirements, etc. Additionally, SAAB sponsors a campus-wide tutoring program, in which students can receive two free hours of tutoring per week per department. For more information please visit http://www.lclark.edu/org/aslc/saab.html while this new page is still under construction.

SAAB also sponsors a competitive grant program for the following:

  • Student Motivated Research
  • Attendance at Conferences
  • Visiting Scholar Programs
  • Performances or Artistic Displays

SAAB's weekly meetings are Thursdays at 5:30 pm in J.R. Howard Hall room 124. Email saab@lclark.edu with questions or concerns.

Due dates for applications:

SAAB is no longer accepting grants for Fall 2009! We will resume hearing grants upon our return for Spring 2010, and grant applications handed in after 19 November will be heard in January!
